                                                                        Dear PSWC Participants,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2012 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Pacific Southwest Conference (PSWC) hosted by California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). Our ASCE student chapter has been working hard over the past year to create a memorable and successful conference.

Over the past few years the PSWC has had one of the highest attendance rates, which shows the strength of the Pacific Southwest student region. Cal Poly Pomona looks forward to another wonderful event with student participation from Central and Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii.

In addition, we are thrilled to have this opportunity to showcase our campus, which has a highly ranked civil engineering program, with a commitment to hands-on learning and undergraduate education. Our campus is located in an urban setting with faculty, students, and staff whom are economically and culturally diverse.

We are glad that you have decided to join us at Cal Poly Pomona for the 2012 PSWC.
